Privacy policy

Last updated: November 9, 2026. This policy covers the Good Boy Exporter browser extension and this website.

The short version

We don't collect your conversations or any personal data. The extension does its work inside your browser.

What the extension accesses

• Your chats on chatgpt.com and claude.ai. When you ask it to export, list, archive or delete chats, the extension reads them from those sites using the session you already have open, the same way the sites themselves do. This data goes from those sites to your browser and nowhere else.
• Your notes, highlights, saved messages and prompts. These are stored in your browser's local extension storage. They are not sent to us.
• Files you export or images you download. They are saved to your computer through your browser's normal download feature.

What we collect

Nothing. The free extension does not send any data to our servers, does not use analytics, and does not track you. We don't sell or share data because we don't have it.

Pro (when it launches)

If you buy Pro, the extension will send your license key to our server to check that your plan is active. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which receives the details you give at checkout. If you turn on sync, your notes, saved items and prompts are encrypted in your browser with a passphrase only you know before they are uploaded; we store data we cannot read and cannot recover if you lose the passphrase. We will update this policy before Pro launches.

Permissions, and why

• Access to chatgpt.com and claude.ai: to read, export, archive and delete your chats when you ask.
• Storage and unlimited storage: to keep your notes, highlights, prompts and settings in your browser.
• Downloads: to save images from a chat to your computer when you click "Download images".
• Scripting: only used if you turn on "Block ads in ChatGPT answers", to remove ad entries from ChatGPT's responses in your browser.

Deleting your data

Uninstalling the extension removes everything it stored in your browser.
